English Channel Swim

The Clock Tower Fund and Birmingham Children's Hospital both hold very special connections for me and I feel very privileged to be able to raise sponsorship money on their behalf.

Both these organisations have touched my life in the past and I have been fortunate enough to witness first hand the miracles they work and support they give to those who require it.

The English Channel is the Mount Everest of endurance swimming and has been successfully swam by less people than have summited that impressive peak!! It is a 22.5 Mile / 36 KM swim in water temperature of between 16-18 degrees. An average swim time is around 15 hours but can be considerably longer if mother nature isn't with you!

All, I did it!!

I touched France at 22.30 on the 11th August 2015 after a 17 hour 8 minute swim from the UK. Exhausted but elated it was a triumph over mother-nature who wasn't kind with the tide or weather!

I'd like to say a big thank you to all at the Channel Swimmers and Pilots Association especially Freda Streeter and Nick Adams for all there advice and support. A special thanks goes to Paul Foreman, my safety boat pilot, who did an absolutely fantastic job on the day.

I will be fund raising until the end of the year for the Birmingham Children's Hospital and the Clock Tower Fund so if you could spare any small donations it all goes towards two great causes that do fantastic work!

Lastly, thanks for taking the time to read this page! I'm going to continue supporting these two great charities and I've now succesfully swum around Manahtten Island in August 2017 in a time of 7 Hours 50 minutes.

Mission Accomplished!

I completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming on the 16th July 2018 by swimming from Catalina Island to Los Angeles! I'm now the 186th person in history to complete these 3 iconic swims! It's been a hell of a swim!!!

Many Thanks for all the support,
